Itter comments on her education in set design at UBC, and the importance of Roy Kiyooka, and the international visitors to the Festival of the Contemporary Arts such as Yvonne Rainer and Robert Rauschenburg. She describes her early work in creating costumes that she wore in performances, to attend art events, and to wear while riding her motorcycle - which featured in an exhaust-filled performance at the UBC Fine Arts Gallery.
