More Information: A “lunatic happening” conceived by Intermedia director Werner Aellen and Herb Gilbert (of the UBC Fine Arts department) to celebrate the Apollo 11 lunar landing. The event took place at Second Beach near the Vancouver Planetarium The event started at ‘moon rise’ and lasted three days and featured activities including a moon walk, moon balloons, sand painting and moon poems.
